Coating Thickness XRF 🢂 Ordering Standards

Once you have determined what standards you would want, review the product lists. These lists are given by categories such as single layer foils, single layer hard plated standards, alloy foils etc. Within the categories, standards are listed according to the element(s) in the standard coating(s). Part numbers and approximate thicknesses for each standard available for each application class is provided. Choose the standards listed which match the type of standard you want and are closest in thickness(es) you prefer. Unless otherwise stated, the thicknesses of the standards you receive will be within +/- 15% of the thicknesses given in the list of standards.

If you do not find what you need or want, please contact us. We have additional standards which are not given in the product lists on this site. There is a good chance we can offer you something that more closely matches what you need. If we do not have what you need, we also make custom standards, made to you specifications. Custom standards and other standards which do not appear in the lists found on this site will be quoted to you once you contact us with a specific request for a standard not found here.

Standards found in the lists provided on this site are generally delivered in 2 – 4 weeks from the time of your order. A fee based expediting service is offered for delivery within 1 week. Custom and other specially requested standards delivery times are determined on a case by case basis, and are indicated in the price quotation we provide you following your request for custom standard(s).

In cases where you want to order a standard from these lists but want the thickness to be closer to a specific value within the +/- 15% range we normally provide, a small surcharge (10%) will be added to the price indicated for the standard in the list. For example, if you order a standard SAU40 which is nominally 1 micron, you may receive a Au foil which has a thickness of 0.85 to 1.25 microns. However, if you request the thickness be closer to 1.1 microns, using this same part number, we will search our inventory and provide you with the closest thickness we have to 1.1 microns instead of randomly selecting a foil from the 0.85 to 1.15 microns range. For this small added effort to meet your preference, we add 10% to the $300 list price for SAU40, for a total price of $330.
